Adopt a Classroom and get your donation matched!

I recently went in search of grants and other ways to raise money for use in my classroom. Unfortunately as a Title 1 school (over 50% of our students are free/reduced lunch) teachers do not receive budgets and parents are unable to run/fund auctions. I do spend a lot of my own money on my classroom, but at some point I have to stop and look elsewhere.

That is where "Adopt-A-Classroom" comes in. They allow a teacher to select specific items needed for the classroom and for multiple donors to chip in toward those items, knowing the money goes ONLY toward that item needed.

Happily a donor matching program has just been introduced!

In celebration of Adopt-A-Classroom’s 10th Anniversary, Jones New York In The Classroom has agreed to add $50 to any donation made to my classroom. This offer is for the first 800 online credit card donations made at www.adoptaclassroom.org starting November 1, 2008.
This is a great opportunity for me and my students. In addition, if adopted, I will automatically be entered to win aa $10,000 classroom grant.

Click here to adopt my classroom and have $50 added to your donation!

Thanks to Jones New York In The Classroom and Adopt-A-Classroom, a small gift can make a BIG impact.

Note: All donations are tax-deductible. 100% of the donation goes to my classroom. Adopt-A-Classroom takes $0 out for administration.

I just donated to you...sorry I was too late to get you the extra money. We were away in Disney World. Keep up the good work. How are you feeling? I will link this on my blog for you, too.
