Hubby and I went to Paris and love, loved it. This was pre-kiddos keep in mind. I used my hs French and we got along fabulously. I hope to go again some day. Rachael Ray has her travel show...the wine regions seem wonderful. Cheers! No news from the dr. I'm assuming no news means good news?? How about you?

I've been many times to Juan-les-Pins and this is the only place on earth I'd like to live for 6 months a year - the rest would be in my hometown, Antwerp...

Oh yeah, JLP is situated in the South, between Nice & Cannes .... donc, Côte d'Azur....

There is so much to love in France, I hope you have some good long time to spend there.

Did you know you can camp right in Paris? & also in Versaille or a vineyard? The French love to camp, so most every town has a camping place, many for free.

Provence is wonderful-don't miss Pont du guard & museum there ( yep campground is walking distance, Giverney, St Emillion is best in Bordeaux, we loved Burgundy, Puy du foy is AMAZING & few American see it, bike if you can, see small towns, buy at markets& big hypermarkets.Hill towns & barge towns are great. Speaking French REALLY helps ( we don't much).Have picnics wiht baguettes and cheese everywhere. Spend at least 2 weeks in Paris & you still will barely make a dent. Get to know the subway system & city map well before going.

Get your body in shape for LOTS of walking as Europeans do much more. Wear good shoes & layered clothes. Always use a money belt.

Should be great deals this year. It is a travelers buyers market out there in 09.
